Conversion of Coal-Biomass into Diesel by Using Aspen Plus

Taking the importance of Pakistan’s dire need for energy breakthrough, in this paper, we explore how country’s vast estimated reserves 175 billion tons Thar coal is a useful source clean and efficient production good quality liquid fuel. Coal to (CTL) technology has gathered increasing attention among many countries with sufficient volume reserves, can also be implemented Pakistan, which result reduce harmful greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions environment. In study, Fischer Tropsch Synthesis (FT) liquefaction method was used, reactor design, chemical reactions, syngas ratio fraction, Anderson-Schulz-Flory Langmuir model were all obtained from Aspen Plus simulation. The results showed that, at optimum flow rate 9 Kg/s, FT produced diesel fuel 0.00134 Kg/s. Per calculation, massive amount transformed into 123.22 million barrels diesel. design very critical, and, it prioritized that produces only composition C12+; during fuel, quantity methane not high; still further reduced on optimized conditions. On other hand, CO2 gas, sole contributor GHG emissions, by up 98%.
